In this week’s Sales Wrap, Eminem and Rick Ross battle for the top spot, Drake loses a step inside of Top 5 and Big Boi remains within the Top 15.
Grammy-winning rapper Eminem’s Recovery has continued its reign atop the charts at No. 1 with 187,200 sold copies. According to Nielson SoundScan, the rapper’s latest solo effort has sold 1,669,600 units after five weeks on the charts.
Def Jam juggernaut Rick Ross’ Teflon Don opened up this week at No. 2. Making his first non-number one solo debut, the “Boss” was able to shell out 176,700 pieces after seven days in stores.
Young Money rapper Drake’s Thank Me Later moved down a notch selling 43,400. After six weeks on the charts, Drizzy’s long-awaited debut continues to move units resting at 880,500 sold copies.
Meanwhile, Usher’s Raymond V. Raymond received a nine-slot boost to No. 11 with 20,800. With 17 weeks under his belt, the bachelor’s latest effort has sold 956,100 units.
OutKast frontrunner Big Boi’s Sir Lucious Left Foot slipped one slot to No. 15 with 18,400. Heading into his first full month, Boi’s solo debut has pushed out 107,000 records to date.
