A near-fatal shoot-out between incarcerated rapper Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy’s entourages reportedly took place Thursday (March 4) afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to reports, Gucci’s artist Waka Flocka Flame sustained an injury.
Can we all just get along? This afternoon, members of Gucci Man’s crew (including Waka Flocka) confronted Jeezy’s clique in an Atlanta clothing store. A fight ensued and Waka’s security detail fired a gun during the melee. No injuries were reported, but an eyewitness said of Waka, “Whoever he is he’s got a big swollen eye now.” (Rap Radar)
Police have also confirmed the event took place around mid-afternoon.
The fight started around 4 p.m. Thursday when Mane’s group walked into the store — popular with celebrities — and spotted Jeezy’s associates, said witness Patrick Morrison. “There was a physical altercation inside the location between several men,” Atlanta Police spokesman James Polite confirmed to the AJC. One of the men produced a weapon “and as a result a private armed security guard of a local entertainer discharged his weapon.” (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
Further speculation has began mapping out possible beef-motivated scenarios for the incident.
Numerous sources allege that Flocka was attacked by Slick Pulla, an artist signed to Young Jeezy’s Corporate Thugz Entertainment label, and member of the group USDA (United Dope Boyz of America). “Story has it that Waka Flocka and Slick Pulla have been beefing since an altercation that happened in Miami a few months ago,” explained celebrity photographer Freddy O. “Slick Pulla wanted to get it popping and that’s what he tried to do. After a tussle and fight throughout the entire Walter’s store, with customers, gunfire rang out. In the end Slick Pulla left the store while Waka was left with a bloody nose and eye.” (All Hip Hop)
