All the way back in 1989, most of the rap artists who were nominated for the (at the time) “new” category boycotted because the award would not be presented during the broadcast. Well twenty-one years later, the rap-music hatred continues. Before the show even started last night, multiple awards in rap categories were given out (therefore not televised).

Before dominating the Grammy Awards last night, Beyonce was featured by Steve Kroft on “60 Minutes.” Kroft made sure to let America know that Jigga’s wife is not some fly-by-the-night star, but a “polished product, years in the making.” Being called a “Role-Model who has been strong enough to strut around all the usual pitfalls of fame,” Beyonce says that she made a choice at a young age to not do drugs, have issues, bad relationships etc.

Former G-Unit member Young Buck was recently in Detroit where he took time to diss his former camp and it’s leader, 50 Cent. During the concert (that took place over the weekend), Buck first told the crowd about himself. “I’m a real life n*gga,” Buck told Detroit fans. “For real. I wanna clear this sh*t up real quick because I see a lot of real n*ggas in here, you understand me. Let me tell you something. I don’t f*ck with that n*gga 50 Cent for real. F*ck that n*gga.”

After Olivia said yesterday that she was not dropped from G-Unit by 50 Cent, she actually asked to leave. Now 50 Cent himself has come forward to talk about Olivia leaving the label in 2007, not to mention how she cost him $2 million dollars in expenses. 50 says that Olivia used budgets and her money like she was some superstar, say like Beyonce or Rihanna.
