Rapper Jay-Z recently appeared on Angie Martinez’ Hot 97 show, where he revealed the Armand de Brignac (Ace of Spades) champagne he endorses was ranked #1 in the world after taste tests. The results were published on September 24 in Fine Champagne magazine, the only international publication devoted to champagne. Each Champagne was rated on a 100-point scale.

Over the last two days the nation has been aghast at footage showing a 16 year old Chicago student being beaten to death in a gang-related mass brawl. The student, Derrion Albert, was viciously attacked with broad planks outside his school. While others fought around him, Albert went down and was repeatedly stomped in the head and punched.

Chicago rapper Yung Berg has responded to a shocking new video that hit the internet featuring the rapper engaged in a fight, where he was apparently assaulted. Yesterday (September 28), a grainy video was released show showing the rapper and a dozen men engaged in a brawl on the street. According to Yung Berg, the video is not new and was shot at least two years ago. The melee was caused due to a dispute with his former manager.

The rapper was questioned on these rumors and other news by PunchBowl Blog in a recent interview at Orange Rock Corps show in London’s Royal Albert Hall. Nas initially sidestepped direct questions after being asked about the rumors of his musical inclusion on Jay and Raekwon’s albums.
